Tradition & innovation are the guiding values of our company

Now, as ever, Welti-Furrer transport service uses the most modern means.

Jakob Furrer founded the original company in the late 1830s. Welti-Furrer developed in parallel with the development of the various means of transport. A competent transport company quickly evolved out of a small horse-based haulage firm. In 1880, Jakob Albert Welti, Furrer's son-in-law, joined the firm and brought new impetus to the company in the environment of increasing mobility.

Welti-Furrer transports almost everything.

Furniture transport, including international tasks, provided for strong growth around the turn of the century. Even Winston Churchill expressed his thanks to Welti-Furrer after his historical detour to the city on the Limmat River "for the good packing of the presents that I received in Zurich". Welti-Furrer developed into the leading moving specialists throughout Switzerland in the 19th century.

Even in times past, nothing was too big.

In 1993, the traditional company was taken over by the Knecht Group from Windisch. Under the group's auspices, it has now developed into a leading transport company with an innovative and broadly supported service range that covers all of Switzerland with over ten locations. Welti-Furrer now packs and transports far more than furniture and presents.

Times change, even at Welti-Furrer.

Success doesn't just happen. In the 180-year history of the company, it has been shown that above all, customers count on the competence and flexibility of our staff. With reason: nothing is left to chance at Welti-Furrer. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, both yesterday and today.
