Welti-Furrer developed in parallel with the development of the various means of transport. A competent transport company quickly evolved out of a small horse-based haulage firm. In 1880, Jakob Albert Welti, Furrer&#8217;s son-in-law, joined the firm and brought new impetus to the company in the environment of increasing mobility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welti-Furrer transports almost everything.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Furniture transport, including international tasks, provided for strong growth around the turn of the century. Even Winston Churchill expressed his thanks to Welti-Furrer after his historical detour to the city on the Limmat River &#8220;for the good packing of the presents that I received in Zurich&#8221;. Welti-Furrer developed into the leading moving specialists throughout Switzerland in the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Even in times past, nothing was too big.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 1993, the traditional company was taken over by the Knecht Group from Windisch. Under the group&#8217;s auspices, it has now developed into a leading transport company with an innovative and broadly supported service range that covers all of Switzerland with over ten locations. Welti-Furrer now packs and transports far more than furniture and presents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Times change, even at Welti-Furrer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Success doesn&#8217;t just happen. In the 180-year history of the company, it has been shown that above all, customers count on the competence and flexibility of our staff. With reason: nothing is left to chance at Welti-Furrer.
