Apprenticeship as a logistics specialist
An apprenticeship to become a logistics specialist lasts three years. During your apprenticeship, you will get to know the following areas of work:
- Incoming/outgoing goods
- Checking goods
- Preparation of moving aids
- Preparation of packing materials
A logistics specialist is responsible for smooth operations within our distribution center. As part of a small team, you will learn all about how to prepare moving aids and packing materials as well as checking the condition of incoming goods. Unloading moving trucks and vans by hand or with a forklift as well as the proper preparation of all types of goods. The exact storage of items being moved, as well as block storage. Of course, this job also involves IT services as well as keeping an inventory of each item and recording it. The precise monitoring of the warehouse and keeping it clean are also part of your assignment. An apprenticeship as a logistics specialist requires stamina plus the ability to do careful, precise work.
